Video: Artist Interview with Annie Cattrell

Annie Cattrell studied Fine Art at Glasgow and University of Ulster and Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art. She is Reader in Fine Art at De Montfort University; Tutor in School of Arts and Humanities at the RCA and has a significant career as a public artist undertaking major commissions for both Cambridge and Oxford University and in 2020 was appointed as the public artist for the state-of-the-art research facility being created for UCL Neuroscience in London. Annie is particularly interested in where art, science and the poetic meet. Her cross-disciplinary approach has seen her collaborate with specialists in neuroscience, meteorology, engineering, psychiatry and the history of science.

Annie’s works Brink and Currents are currently exhibited at Fen Ditton Gallery as part of our Water/Land exhibition.

Water/Land is open at Fen Ditton Gallery from 15th October - 28th November 2021. The exhibition is the fourth in an annual series of exhibitions at Fen Ditton Gallery which bring together artists and makers, across media, to explore and celebrate aspects of the natural world.

The exhibition is open Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 5pm
