Emerging artist Euan Evans awarded Printmakers Council Sheila Sloss Award at Royal College of Art Graduate Show

Congratulations to Euan Evans who received the Printmakers Council’s Sheila Sloss Prize at the Royal College of Art MA Print graduate show earlier in the month.

The judges commented; “We enjoyed his use of a close pastel colour tone, the free form shapes, his use of conventional linocut, and the transformation from 2D to 3D.”

This is a fantastic achievement and marks an exciting moment of recognition for the young artist - and a brilliant time to invest in his work!

We are delighted to hold a selection of drawings and paintings by Euan, which can be viewed at the gallery by appointment (contact info@fendittongalley.com to book). Sketching and journaling is been an important part of Euan’s practice, some works made by observation, and others are drawn away from the subject in order to relay a memory or feeling of that moment or place, rather than a record. Some of the works that we are showing have been taken directly from Euan’s sketchbooks.

Euan is part of our Young Collectors’ Emerging Artist Programme, after Hannah discovered his work whilst he was completing The Drawing Year at The Royal Drawing School. He exhibited at Fen Ditton Gallery in Undiscovered (February 2023) and will be taking part in Voices in Drawing 2 in early 2024.
