Borderlands celebrated the importance of our everyday environments through a show which combined award-winning modern silverware by London designer Simone ten Hompel and hand-printed black and white photographs of domestic interiors by Lotte Attwood. The ply set-build of tables, shelves and cupboards, commissioned from Brocklehurst Architects, used materials upcycled from a previous exhibition project, and emphasised the importance of resourceful modern design: a theme that will be picked up in subsequent exhibitions.
