David Emond

David lives and works in Cambridge. He practiced as an architect for over 45 years in London and Cambridge whilst maintaining an output of paintings and drawings throughout his career.

His solo exhibition in the Fen Ditton Gallery in 2023 titled “ Light Colour Pattern” displayed his wide range of interests in landscapes and the natural world. 

David works in paper collage, charcoal, watercolour and inks. In recent years he has developed mixed media techniques using watercolour, pastel and inks together to create his own distinctive style. The summer and autumn of 2025 was spent exploring the woods, downs and parkland of West Sussex resulting in a collection of paintings which capture the character of these distinctive landscapes.
