Lotte Attwood
Lotte Attwood b. 1952 is a Cambridge artist who specialises in black and white film photography drawn, she says, to the potential of the medium to capture a particular atmosphere of land and buildings. She is interested in capturing places under change β her first exhibition in the 1980s documented a series of temporary buildings/sheds now all disappeared. A keen gardener β she used to work on the late Christopher Hogwoodβs garden in Cambridgeβ plants are central to her life. She is also the founder/owner of Fen Ditton Gallery.
βEven after all these years, watching the image emerge in the developing dish continues to intrigue. It's an intense - indeed, obsessional and long drawn out process. The good news is that creative immersion like this can sometimes lead to one of those hallelujah moments that we all live for.β
