About the artist

Sarah Vines is a Manchester-based artist who works primarily in screenprint. Her practice focuses on the home, treating the domestic sphere as a site of performance and discourse. Using a contemporary and illustrative lens, she employs a bold, celebratory colour palette to explore these spaces.

Vines completed her MA in Print at the Royal College of Art in 2023, following a BA in Illustration and Animation from Kingston School of Art. Her work has been recognised through several significant exhibitions and acquisitions. In 2023, her print Slowly It Is Becoming Our Home, Our Ritual Place was acquired by the Clifford Chance Art Collection. This followed her participation in the survey exhibition Postgraduate Printmaking in London 2023 at Clifford Chance.

Her international exhibition history includes the Heralbony Art Prize in Tokyo in 2024. In the UK, she has exhibited at the Turner House Open in Penarth, Southwark Park Gallery, and the Truman Brewery. She is an Associate Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art. Her work has also been featured in several publications, including Curtains and The Old Bureau.
