Laura Boswell: Between Cliffs, St Abbs Head

Laura Boswell specialises in traditional Japanese woodblock printing and reduction linocut and spent some time studying, drawing and printmaking in Japan. She often mixes the colours on the block as she prints and can use over 20 printings to help explore light, season and atmosphere.

Bowell is an elected member of Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers

And is internationally exhibited. She was the UK representative at Ulsan Print Biennial, South Korea in 2019 and is a monthly columnist for Artists and Illustrators Magazine. She is also a published author and podcast host

During the pandemic, Bowell created a series of crowdfunded, free-at-source, printmaking tutorials to engage and stimulate interest in printmaking particularly aimed at those who are unable to fund formal tuition.
