Norman Ackroyd: The Cork Oak, Athony

Norman Ackroyd CBE RA  b. 1938 is one of the UK’s most distinguished artist printmakers, known for his light filled etchings and en plein air watercolours of the UK’s sea and landscapes.  He studied at Leeds College of Art and the Royal College of Art and continues to work from his East London studio : he was appointed Professor of Etching at the University of Arts, London in 1994 .   His work is held in all major UK and many international public collections.  He has regularly collaborated on publications with leading poets such as Kevin Crossley-Holland and Douglas Dunn.
