About the artist:

Pippa Davismoon is an artist based in London and Hastings working primarily in ceramic, drawing and print. She gained a distinction in glass at Central St Martins London, having originally graduated in Liverpool with a BA in Architecture. She is fascinated by courage and tenacity and wants her art to bolster emotional strength and joy in life, with all its possibilities.

Davismoon says of this work “When I think of the Barbican Complex, I think of the balconies, so these had to be included in a print to celebrate the Arts Centre. The other 2 elements I find striking are the barrel-vaulted roof lines and the flowing vegetation hanging from the walkways. The planting softens and enriches the strong shapes of the Barbican Complex. This series of prints are a playful response to my enjoyment of the complex in all it’s different guises.”
