The 'folio will initially be for sale at an exceptional price of £1,200, making it an unprecedented opportunity to acquire a selection of fine prints by leading contemporary artists. Quintet has been made possible through the generosity of the artists involved; all expressed their support for the objectives of continuity, invention and development.
It is a black A3 portfolio in an edition of 70 which contains a title sheet, the five prints and an explanatory colophon. The work is all made by hand using fully archival materials of the highest quality.
The contributing artists have international reputations and their work is held in many National collections. The four British artists are all members of the Royal Academy. The fifth artist, Willard Boepple, is a significant figure in the North American art world and has many links to sculpture in the UK. Four of them are sculptors and one a painter. They are all greatly respected printmakers.
The prints in the portfolio has been made at the internationally renowned Print Studio in Cambridge by Kip Gresham, Alan Grabham and Callum Rose. The studio has longstanding relationships with all the artists..
