Fen Ditton Gallery is delighted to present Kindred Land, a solo exhibition by emerging painter Agnes Treherne
Agnes Treherne: Kindred Land presents an intimate body of work that explores the intersection of family, memory, and the landscapes that shape our lives. Treherne’s paintings, such as the monumental Tending Apple Trees, transform the everyday care of the natural world into something mythic and dream-like.
A unique highlight of this exhibition is the exploration of intergenerational influence; Agnes has selected three works by her mother, artist and illustrator Katherine Treherne, to be shown alongside her own. These pieces sit together to tell a story of family life and the emotional resonance embedded in the land. Treherne’s signature style, characterised by softly layered textures and evocative color palettes, captures fleeting moments with a sense of reverence, creating scenes that feel both deeply personal and universal.
We invite you to be the first to experience this beautiful new body of work, which includes a collection of new oil paintings, original prints, and drawings.
Agnes Treherne was first exhibited at the gallery in September 2021, after graduating from the Royal Drawing School.
