The Contemporary Printmaking Prize celebrates the vitality and diversity of printmaking today, bringing together 40 outstanding original prints selected from over 500 submissions. Showcasing a wide range of techniques, voices, and perspectives, the exhibition highlights both emerging and established artists working in the field of print. Each work demonstrates the continued relevance and innovation of printmaking as a contemporary art form.
Since the inaugural printmaking prize in 2021, the gallery has been building on the active, and acknowledged, relationship that the City and University of Cambridge have with historical and contemporary fine art printmaking and established a collaborative relationship with the late Kip Gresham of The Print Studio, Cambridge.
As dear Kip said: It’s great to see printmaking alive and kicking
