Eleanor Pritchard (b. 1971)
Eleanor Pritchard is an acclaimed British textile designer renowned for her striking graphic language and deep commitment to traditional British weaving heritage. Initially earning a degree in history, Pritchard followed her lifelong passion for making by studying textile design, specialising in weave, at the Chelsea College of Art and Design, graduating in 2001.
The exclusive limited-edition Fen Ditton Blanket was created in response to the distinctive landscape of the Cambridgeshire Fens, and explores colour and shadow as they fade and intensify. Pritchard also drew inspiration from Ben Nicholson’s abstract reliefs as well as works of Agnes Martin and Wilhelmina Barns-Graham.
