Jim Partridge MBE (b. 1953) and Liz Walmsley MBE (b. 1952)
Jim Partridge and Liz Walmsley are award-winning British wood artists based in Shropshire who have collaborated since 1986 to design furniture, vessels, and environmental structures. Much of their work is carved from blocks of green oak, which is scorches and polished to a lustrous black finish.
Shortlisted for the Jerwood Furniture Prize and finalists for the 2019 Loewe Craft Prize, their pieces are held globally, including at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.
